Mental health and recovery are not separate projects. Anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD and bipolar disorder frequently sit underneath a substance use disorder — and they do not resolve on their own when substances stop. Those are the same variables clinicians track when treating a mood or anxiety disorder. Stable, structured, substance-free housing is not a substitute for therapy or medication — it is the environment that lets therapy and medication work.619 Recovery provides apartment-style sober living in downtown San Diego. We are not a medical detox or a licensed treatment program and we do not deliver clinical care. Our program was designed by clinicians and draws on organizational psychology and positive psychology principles, with a curriculum developed by our clinical program director.
